Basketball Recap: John Champe Takes a Loss

John Champe and Broad Run squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but John Champe had to settle for second. They lost 78-58 to the Broad Run Spartans. The Knights have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

John Champe's loss dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Broad Run, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-5.

John Champe does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Broad Run, they will host Loudoun County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Broad Run knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Loudoun County likes a good challenge.
