Baseball Recap: Westerville South Takes a Loss

Westerville South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Westerville Central Warhawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 8-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Westerville South's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Westerville Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season.

Westerville South will welcome Hilliard Darby at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Westerville Central, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Lincoln on the 15th.
