Basketball Game Preview: Beechwood Tigers vs. Pendleton County Wildcats

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Beechwood Tigers face off against the Pendleton County Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday... Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Beechwood is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Scott on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Beechwood took a blow against Scott, falling 66-31. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Meanwhile, Pendleton County was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 66-61 to Nicholas County.

Beechwood's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Pendleton County, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-9.

Beechwood beat Pendleton County 55-47 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Does Beechwood have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pendleton County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
