Baseball Recap: Blue Ridge Comes Up Short

After flying high against Blacksburg on Wednesday, Blue Ridge came back down to earth. The Fighting Tigers came up short against the Daniel Lions on Monday, falling 12-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-2 last Tuesday.

Blue Ridge has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Daniel, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Blue Ridge will face off against rival Berea at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Daniel is set to square off against their familiar foe Greer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
