Basketball Recap: Beach Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Beach came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were dealt a 73-43 defeat at the hands of the Baldwin Braves. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Beach lost, don't look at Jordan Newton. Despite the final result, he went 5-for-7 en route to 11 points and three steals. Thanks to that strong game, Newton now owns an excellent 45.2% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Marcus Liddell, who posted six points.

Karez Demory went supernova For Baldwin., shooting 67% from the field to rack up 20 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. Demory's big performance that afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jared Mundie, who put up 11 points.

Beach now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Baldwin, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Beach didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-47 win against Liberty County on the 5th. As for Baldwin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 86-28 victory against West Laurens on the 2nd.
