Volleyball Recap: Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory Comes Up Short

Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 9-12. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tri-West Hendricks Bruins. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Braves of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Madison Fritz paced Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory's offense, picking up 19 kills. Fritz got some help from Reese Blanchard and her 26 assists. Fritz was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

As for Tri-West Hendricks, they moved to 16-9 with that win, which also ended their six-match losing streak. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since September 6th.

Leading Tri-West Hendricks to victory were Grace Hargis and Finley Dakin. Hargis had 56 assists and 21 digs, while Dakin had 29 digs and six assists. Hargis is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 14 every time she's taken the court this season.

Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Bloomington South on the 29th. As for Tri-West Hendricks, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Triton Central on the 27th.
