Baseball Recap: Village Christian Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Village Christian hadn't done well against Whittier Christian recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Crusaders never let the Heralds get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Crusaders: when they faced off against the Heralds on Tuesday, they had to take a 6-4 defeat.

Not much got past Ryan French, who gave up just two hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Whittier Christian off the board. French has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Village Christian's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Dallas Young, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
