Softball Recap: Jackson-Reed Tigers vs. Woodson Warriors
Jackson-Reed came tearing into Tuesday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.7 runs) and they left with even more momentum. They had just enough and edged the Woodson Warriors out 15-14. Both teams can probably skip cardio this week after making that many trips around the bases.
Alice Stillerman was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and a run. Natalia Weinstein was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
Jackson-Reed's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5. Those good results were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.5 runs per game. As for Woodson, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
