Basketball Recap: Century Diamondbacks vs. Idaho Falls Tigers
Century couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 51-43 to the Idaho Falls Tigers on Saturday. The Diamondbacks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.
Century lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kennadi Ozburn, who went 5 for 12 en route to 14 points plus three steals. The dominant performance also gave Ozburn a new career-high in threes (four). Kate Spicer was another key player, posting four points along with seven steals.
The win made it two in a row for Idaho Falls and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Century is headed away from home for the first time to take on Blackfoot at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Idaho Falls, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Idaho Falls Tigers duke it out with the Madison Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
