The Wall Hawks will square off against the Sweetwater Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Wall is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.3 runs per game this season.
It was a Battle of the Birds when Wall duked it out with San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy on Tuesday. Wall put the hurt on San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy with a sharp 25-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

Hagyn Barbee was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That home run was his first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Caleb Braden, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, five runs, and three RBI. Those five runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Reid Ballard, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4.
Wall always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .689. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Sweetwater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 13-3 to Clyde.
Sweetwater saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blayne Bohall, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Wall's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Sweetwater, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
Everything went Wall's way against Sweetwater when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Wall made off with a 10-0 win. Does Wall have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sweetwater turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
