Football Recap: Trinity Christian Academy's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Jackson Christian came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Trinity Christian Academy, but Owen Atwood wouldn't allow it. The Lions came out on top in a nail-biter against the Eagles on Friday, sneaking past 31-28 thanks in part to Atwood, who rushed for 87 yards and one touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 135 yards and a pair of TDs. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run.

The win (which was Trinity Christian Academy's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.0 points on average over those games. As for Jackson Christian, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.
