Volleyball Recap: Garner Trojans vs. Cleveland Rams
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Garner can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Cleveland Rams on Tuesday. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-11, 25-19.
Masyn Pittman paced Garner's offense, picking up nine kills. Pittman got some help from Elli Pittman and her 16 assists.
Addison Evans produced another solid effort getting six digs and two aces for Cleveland. Evans is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 18 or more in each of the last 56 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Emma Lawson, who had 12 kills and three digs.
Garner's defeat dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Cleveland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season.
Garner does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cleveland, they will host Holly Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
