Softball Recap: Jacksonville Comes Up Short

Jacksonville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Hallsville Bobcats, falling 19-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 back in March.

Jacksonville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Hallsville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 20 of their last 21 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-3-1 record this season.

Jacksonville will welcome Texas at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hallsville, they will face off against Lufkin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their 16th straight win, something the Bobcats surely won't give up without a fight.
