Baseball Game Preview: Orleans Bulldogs vs. Northeast Dubois Jeeps

Orleans is 1-6 against Northeast Dubois since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Bulldogs will head out to challenge the Jeeps at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Orleans is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 15th straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of North Daviess. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by just one run.

Troy Dille made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those stolen bases marked the first that he has snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Berning, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Northeast Dubois was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They fell just short of Tell City by a score of 3-2.

Jake Kluesner was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases. Northeast Dubois is 2-1 when Kluesner posts two or more stolen bases, but 3-5 otherwise.

Northeast Dubois dropped their record down to 5-6 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Orleans, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Orleans might still be hurting after the 15-5 loss they got from Northeast Dubois in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
