Soccer Game Preview: Kewaskum vs. West Bend East

The Kewaskum Indians will challenge the West Bend East Suns at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Kewaskum has six straight victories, West Bend East has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Kewaskum will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating West Bend West, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. The Indians walked away with a 4-2 win over the Spartans on Tuesday. It was an even better day for Colton Rabe as he scored three goals for his team.

Meanwhile, West Bend East fell victim to Port Washington and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Pirates, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, West Bend East can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 215th, while Port Washington are ranked 69th).

Kewaskum's victory bumped their record up to 9-4-2. As for West Bend East, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

Kewaskum took their win against West Bend East in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 7-3 score. In that matchup, the Indians amassed a halftime lead of 4-1, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
