Basketball Recap: Prolific Prep Has No Trouble Against Gillion Academy

The Prolific Prep Crew strolled past the Gillion Academy Lions with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 75-60. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Crew.

Despite the loss, Gillion Academy still got an impressive performance from Marcis Ponder, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 16 rebounds. Ponder is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Willie Burnett Iii, who posted 12 points and three steals.

Prolific Prep's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Gillion Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Coming up, Prolific Prep will square off against Sports Leadership & Management at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Gillion Academy, they will take on Springdale Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
