Softball Recap: Spring Hill Raiders vs. Warren County Pioneers & Lady Pioneers
Spring Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 13-5 walloping at the hands of the Warren County Pioneers & Lady Pioneers.
Hailey Lippert made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Gracie Boehms, who scored a run while going 2-for-5.
On Warren County's side, Alexia Ross and Jazlynn Ward did most of the damage at the plate: Ross went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and a triple, while Ward went 2-for-4 with four RBI, a triple, and a double. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Smith, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Spring Hill's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Warren County, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-10.
Spring Hill will take on Lincoln County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Warren County, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against DeKalb County at 6:30 p.m. Warren County is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
