Baseball Recap: Edgerton Wins Going Away Against Antwerp

Edgerton got themselves on the board against Antwerp on Tuesday, but Antwerp never followed suit. They blew past the Archers 10-0. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Archers: they've now won four in a row.

Edgerton let Noah Weaver and Jackson Flower run wild. Weaver went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Flower went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Flower has become a key player for Edgerton: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Braden Leppelmeier, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Edgerton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The victory got Edgerton back to even at 5-5. As for Antwerp, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
