The Tompkins Falcons are taking a road trip to square off against the Cinco Ranch Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tompkins knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Cinco Ranch likes a good challenge.
Tompkins is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Morton Ranch: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Falcons blew the Mavericks out of the water with a 51-2 final score. The win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Mavericks: they've now won eight in a row.

Ethan Meadows was his usual excellent self, rushing for 208 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.2 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 120.6 rushing yards per game. Blake Hamilton did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 84 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Cinco Ranch challenged Paetow on Friday. The Cougars strolled past the Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 41-27. The Cougars pushed the score to 41-20 by the end of the third, a deficit the Panthers cut but never quite recovered from.
Cinco Ranch's win came from a few key players Tompkins will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jacob Chevez, who picked up 153 receiving yards and four TDs. Those 153 receiving yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Davis Roup, who threw for 199 yards and four touchdowns.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Cinco Ranch was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 247 rushing yards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 96.8 rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last five contests they've averaged 185.
Cinco Ranch didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jacob Forinash and Maverick McConnell. Forinash is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least eight every time he's taken the field this season.
Cinco Ranch now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Tompkins, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Tompkins didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Cinco Ranch when the teams last played back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 50-45 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
