Volleyball Recap: Topeka Comes Up Short

Topeka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Abilene Cowboys. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

While Topeka was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-19.

Topeka's defeat dropped their record down to 10-17. As for Abilene, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-17.

Topeka didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 0-0 tie against Buhler on the 18th. As for Abilene, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Augusta on the 18th.
