Baseball Recap: Minerva Takes a Loss

Minerva managed to slip by Edison the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Lions came up short against the Wildcats on Friday, falling 11-0. The Lions' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Minerva saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braydon Wood, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Minerva's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Edison, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Minerva will challenge Strasburg-Franklin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Edison, they will square off against Harrison Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
