Soccer Recap: Wesson Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mendenhall on Monday, Wesson came back down to earth. The Cobras lost 9-1 to the Loyd Star Hornets on Thursday. Wesson have struggled against Loyd Star recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Wesson's goal came courtesy of Slade Oberschmidt, which was the first he's scored this season.

Wesson's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Wesson is taking a road trip to square off against Mendenhall at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Loyd Star, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Wayne County at 7:00 p.m.
