The Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics Wildcats won the last time they faced the Charleston Math & Science Riptide, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Charleston Math & Science 48-45.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rylan Dundon, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 25 rebounds. Dundon is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Kiara Weaver was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Charleston Math & Science's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sarah Brown, who scored 17 points. The game was Brown's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dalailyn Reed, who scored 13 points.
Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Charleston Math & Science, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics and Providence Athletic Cluv will face off at 5:00 p.m. on December 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Providence Athletic Cluv is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Charleston Math & Science will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Military Magnet Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
