Basketball Recap: Laytonville Comes Up Short

Laytonville lost against Mendocino back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Laytonville Warriors were outmatched by the Mendocino Cardinals and fell 74-21. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-16.

Laytonville dropped their record down to 3-10 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Mendocino, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Tomales the next time they take the court. Laytonville will host Tomales at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Mendocino will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
