Basketball Game Preview: Norco Cougars vs. Riverside Prep Silver Knights

The Norco Cougars and the Riverside Prep Silver Knights will face off at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Norco is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Norco faced off against Bosco Tech on Friday. Norco fell 69-62 to Bosco Tech.

Meanwhile, Riverside Prep came up short against Redlands East Valley on Friday and fell 63-52. While losing is never fun, the Silver Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1014th, while the Wildcats are ranked 394th).

Riverside Prep has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for Norco, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.
