Softball Game Preview: East Valley Knights vs. Clarkston Bantams

The East Valley Knights will challenge the Clarkston Bantams at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games East Valley has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

East Valley came out on top against Pullman on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Knights skirted past the Greyhounds 9-8.

Meanwhile, Clarkston had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against Rogers on Monday as they made off with a 20-2 win. Considering the Bantams have won ten games by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

East Valley has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.2 runs over those games. As for Clarkston, they pushed their record up to 14-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.
