Volleyball Recap: Shiocton Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Shiocton had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the New London Bulldogs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

Shiocton not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept New London between 16 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-16.

Shiocton's offense was headlined by Sophie Wagner and Cordelia Monnot, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Aliyah Reese and her 11 assists. Wagner was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Shiocton's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for New London, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Shiocton has already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Manawa on the 13th. New London has also already played their next contest (against Berlin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
