Sadly, the Lowcountry Leadership NaviGators are still looking for their first win of the season after 23 games. They lost to Charleston Math & Science on the road by a decisive 52-33 margin on Tuesday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lowcountry Leadership in their matchups with Charleston Math & Science: they've now lost six in a row.
It was another big night for Tyler Simmons, who scored 16 points along with two steals for Charleston Math & Science. Another player making a difference was Marcus Grant, who scored seven points.
Lowcountry Leadership dropped their record down to 0-23 with that loss, which was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Charleston Math & Science, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-11 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lowcountry Leadership will take on Palmetto Scholars Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in South Carolina (Palmetto Scholars Academy is ranked 289th, while Lowcountry Leadership is ranked 304th). As for Charleston Math & Science, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Burke at 7:30 p.m.
