It was a good run, but Lafayette unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They and the Southside Sharks finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time the Lions have been dealt a draw since back in December of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Brea Bailey, who's now up to 31 this season.

Lafayette's draw gives them a new season record of 17-3-2. Meanwhile, Southside's record is now 7-11-4.

Lafayette wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, an 8-0 victory against Acadiana on the 27th. As for Southside, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-2 win against Sulphur on the 26th.
