Recap: Organ Mountain Knights vs. Las Cruces Bulldawgs
The Organ Mountain Knights entered their tilt with the Las Cruces Bulldawgs with 15 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 16. Organ Mountain put the hurt on the Bulldawgs with a sharp 72-47 win on Tuesday. Organ Mountain has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 25 points or more this season.
Organ Mountain was led to victory by Emmitt McDaniel and Brandon Kehres. McDaniel scored 15 points along with six steals, while Kehres scored 22 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McDaniel has scored all season. Lenny Washington was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Organ Mountain pushed their record up to 17-1 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Las Cruces, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.
Organ Mountain will be playing at home against the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Centennial will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Mexico Rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Knights are ranked third). As for Las Cruces, they will head out on the road to take on the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
