Basketball Recap: Ava's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Ava can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 47-40 victory over the Mountain Grove Panthers. For the Bears, this counts as revenge for the 80-60 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.

Mountain Grove has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ava will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Mansfield at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Mountain Grove, they will challenge Sparta at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
