Basketball Game Preview: Pleasant Grove Eagles vs. Turlock Bulldogs

The Pleasant Grove Eagles and the Turlock Bulldogs will compete for holiday cheer at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Pleasant Grove saw some tournament action on Friday. They took a 66-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Piedmont. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 444th, while the Highlanders are ranked 165th).

Meanwhile, Turlock didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Cosumnes Oaks on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 64-59 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Turlock's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Pleasant Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.
