It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lyons had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Nazareth Academy Roadrunners by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in September.

Lyons never let Nazareth Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21.

Lyons was led to victory by Julia Ahrens and Reagan Farnan. Ahrens had eight digs and two aces, while Farnan had seven digs.

The win made it two in a row for Lyons and bumps their season record up to 19-16. As for Nazareth Academy, their defeat was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-31.

Lyons has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Oak Park-River Forest on the 31st. Nazareth Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
