Volleyball Recap: South Spencer Rebels vs. Evansville Reitz Panthers
South Spencer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Evansville Reitz Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rebels of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.
The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-11.
South Spencer's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Evansville Reitz, their victory bumped their record up to 16-13.
The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. South Spencer is on the road again on Tuesday to play North Posey at 5:30 p.m. North Posey will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something South Spencer surely won't give up without a fight. After both having extra time off, Evansville Reitz and Evansville Harrison will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
