Recap: Richardson Eagles vs. Lake Highlands Wildcats
The Richardson Eagles lost against the Lake Highlands Wildcats back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Richardson fell to Lake Highlands 52-47. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Richardson in their matchups with Lake Highlands: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Richardson still got an impressive performance from Ciera Hanks, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds. Hanks continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Tristan Aldridge, who scored nine points.
Richardson's defeat dropped their record down to 17-13. As for Lake Highlands, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richardson will face off against Nimitz at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nimitz is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Lake Highlands, they will head out on the road to challenge MacArthur at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. MacArthur will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 981st, while Lake Highlands is ranked 201st).
