Soccer Game Preview: Russell County vs. Chattahoochee County

The Russell County Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the Chattahoochee County Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Russell County lost 11-1 to Central on Tuesday. Russell County haven't had much luck with Central recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, Chattahoochee County unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak two weeks ago. They fell 3-1 to Russell County. While losing is never fun, Chattahoochee County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 353rd in Georgia, while Russell County are ranked 157th in Alabama).

Russell County's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Chattahoochee County, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Russell County was able to grind out a solid win over Chattahoochee County in their previous matchup two weeks ago, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
