Softball Recap: Burbank Takes a Loss

If Burbank was feeling good fresh off their 30-15 takedown of Valley last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Titans came up short against the West Campus Warriors on Friday, falling 15-3.

MARLIE JARDINES was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. JARDINES is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Burbank's loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for West Campus, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burbank will head out to face off against Florin at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 22.57 runs per game on average), something the Titans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for West Campus, they are taking a road trip to square off against McClatchy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
