Basketball Recap: Lakota Tech Wins High-Profile Game Against Mclaughlin

On Thursday, Lakota Tech faced McLaughlin in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Lakota Tech Tatanka came out on top against the McLaughlin Mustangs by a score of 56-43. The Tatanka have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lakota Tech to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lizzie Robinson, who went 7 of 14 en route to 16 points along with six assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Angeliyah Big Boy, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards.

The win made it two in a row for Lakota Tech and bumps their season record up to 2-1. As for McLaughlin, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Lakota Tech didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-43 defeat against Rapid City Christian on the 20th. As for McLaughlin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 64-18 loss against White River on the 20th.
