Colonial Beach and West Point are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. The Drifters will take on the Pointers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Colonial Beach fell victim to Essex and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Trojans, falling 16-0. The Drifters haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Middlesex hit West Point with a four-run sixth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Pointers lost 12-1 to the Chargers. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Colonial Beach's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for West Point, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-10.

Colonial Beach couldn't quite finish off West Point when the teams last played back in May of 2024 and fell 2-0. Can the Drifters avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
