Crater barely beat Ashland the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Comets put the hurt on the Grizzlies with a sharp 13-1 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Comets, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Crater has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Ashland, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-11.

Coming up, Crater will head out on the road to face off against Springfield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Comets are facing the Millers at the right time seeing as the Millers are stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Ashland, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Thurston at 5:00 p.m. The Grizzlies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Colts have averaged an impressive 10 runs per game this season.
