Basketball Recap: Bryant Comes Up Short

Bryant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by the Baker Hornets 65-21. While losing is never fun, the Hurricanes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 323rd, while the Hornets are ranked 34th).

Baker's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Desmond Williams, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. Bralyn Taylor was another key player, going 6 of 8 on his way to 16 points in addition to seven assists and five rebounds.

Bryant's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Baker, they pushed their record up to 18-6 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Bryant will welcome Davidson at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Baker, they are taking a road trip to take on LeFlore at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
