Basketball Game Preview: Corsicana Tigers vs. Red Oak Hawks

Corsicana is 0-10 against Red Oak since January of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Corsicana Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Red Oak Hawks at 8:00 p.m.

Corsicana is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Friday. The contest between them and Midlothian didn't end well, with Corsicana falling 58-44. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1073rd, while the Panthers are ranked 125th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Red Oak, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They blew past Ennis 62-38 on Friday.

Red Oak's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-8. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Corsicana, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15.

Corsicana took a serious blow against Red Oak in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 78-21. Can Corsicana avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
