Basketball Recap: Howell Central Gets the Win

Howell Central lost to Marquette back in December of 2015, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Howell Central Spartans slipped by the Marquette Mustangs 65-64. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Spartans' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 275th, while the Mustangs are ranked 37th).

The win was the third in a row for Howell Central, bringing their record for this year to 5-6. As for Marquette, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.

Howell Central will square off against Fort Zumwalt West at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marquette, they will challenge Eureka at 7:00 p.m. on January 10th.
