Football Recap: Louis Raffin Key Part of Team Effort in Trojans Win

There's no place like home for Chesterton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against the La Porte Slicers on Friday as they made off with a 34-14 win. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Trojans considering their 13-point performance the contest before.

Chesterton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Louis Raffin, who picked up 39 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 31 yards. The Trojans also got a significant boost from Andrew Goveia, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 81 yards.

Chesterton's run defense was locked in: La Porte could only muster 0.9 yards per carry. The team can thank Lucas Anderson for the heroic effort on defense: he. Chesterton's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 3.1.

Chesterton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Bradley Robinson and Anderson. Anderson is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The win got Chesterton back to even at 2-2. As for La Porte, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
