Softball Recap: Cannon Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Cannon and Charlotte Latin squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Cannon had to settle for second. They lost 12-2 to the Hawks. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cougars have suffered since March 29th.

Cannon saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jolie Matthews, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Cannon's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8-1. As for Charlotte Latin, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 18-4.

Cannon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Charlotte Latin, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Charlotte Christian on the 16th.
