Soccer Game Preview: Timberland vs. Andrews

Timberland hasn't had much luck against Andrews recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Timberland Wolves are taking a road trip to face off against the Andrews Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. Timberland will be strutting in after a win while Andrews will be coming in after a defeat.

While Timberland didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Manning on Friday.

Timberland hit Manning with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Robby Ireland, Emigdio Herrera-Norliso, and Jayden Lampkin.

Meanwhile, Andrews had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 4-1 to Woodland. The Yellowjackets haven't had much luck with the Wolverines recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Timberland pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those three games. As for Andrews, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Everything went Timberland's way against Andrews when the teams last played back in April of 2023, as Timberland made off with a 5-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Timberland since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
