Recap: Durham Trojans vs. Pierce Bears
The Durham Trojans''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 35-18 to Pierce. Durham was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Pierce apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Durham's loss was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-0 Colusa and 7-2 Winters (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 59.6% over those games). As for Pierce, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
Durham will be playing in front of their home fans against Live Oak at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Live Oak is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Pierce, they will head out on the road to face off against Winters at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Winters is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.
