Volleyball Recap: South Aiken Baptist Christian Takes a Loss

South Aiken Baptist Christian kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Newberry Academy. The CRUSADERS were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Newberry Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

South Aiken Baptist Christian's offense was headlined by Eve Thomas and Lauren Holley, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Willow Hunt and her five assists. Olivia Bateman controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

South Aiken Baptist Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Anderson Christian on the 9th. As for Newberry Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Sandhills on the 9th.
