Basketball Recap: Bucksport Takes a Loss

Bucksport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 48-43 heartbreaker at the hands of the Washington Academy Raiders. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Bucks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-36 back in January.

Bucksport's record is now 2-16. As for Washington Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bucksport will venture away from home to challenge George Stevens Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. George Stevens Academy has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 197 points over their last three contests. As for Washington Academy, they will head out on the road to take on John Bapst Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
