Baseball Recap: Biggsville West Central Comes Up Short

Biggsville West Central lost against Monmouth-Roseville back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Biggsville West Central lost 14-4 to Monmouth-Roseville.

Biggsville West Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyle Lafary, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Lafary is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Cooper Gibb was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Biggsville West Central dropped their record down to 1-1 with the loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Monmouth-Roseville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Biggsville West Central will venture away from home to take on West Prairie at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Monmouth-Roseville, they will welcome ROWVA/Williamsfield at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
